This meditation is excellent do listen to after your daily yoga practice while lying in savasana, or in bed, before you fall asleep. It is best done lying down, so you can fully allow your body to relax. By bringing our awareness to relaxing the physical body, we focus and calm the mind, as well as the nervous system.
You may choose to support yourself with pillows under your head or knees, and if you feel cold, place a blanket over you. Lie on your back in Savasana pose, with your palms facing up, and your feet relaxed apart.
